Silicon Valley mixed reality - Canadian Technology Accelerator
The Silicon Valley (SV) Mixed Reality Canadian Technolgy Accelerator (CTA) 2024 is designed to prepare 10 Canadian Augmented Reality/ Virtual Reality (AR/VR) and voice-related startups for expansion into the U.S. market.
The 6-week hybrid program will help participants begin market validation in the U.S by providing them with access to:
- virtual workshops to identify Ideal Customer Profiles (ICP), develop use cases for AR and create an outreach strategy in preparation of the AWE USA 2024 Conference in Long Beach
- organized virtual roundtables from industry experts on topics related to US market entry
- pre-arranged B2B meetings on the margins of the conference
- the AWE USA 2024 Conference in Long Beach (June 18-20) to showcase their technology and network with industry leaders in the sector

The benefits of joining
The Canadian Technology Accelerator will provide qualified companies with:
- in-person participation at the largest XR event, AWE USA 2024 Conference
- attendance at networking event with curated guest list facilitated by our partner AWE
- access to the virtual program that includes group sessions and individual sessions with a selected advisor
- access to the TCS support for client outreach
Who should apply
We are seeking participation from 8 Canadian startups that are building immersive technologies including Virtual Reality (VR), Augmented Reality (AR), Mixed Reality (MR), 360 Video, and Interactive 3D.
Your company must have:
- a revenue-generating business with a fully built, validated technology and is readily deployable in an enterprise environment for the following use cases:
- inspection maintenance
- remote assistance simulation
- situational awareness
- collaboration
- training / education
- marketing and sales visualization
- virtual user interface
- a passionate and committed team with market-entry goals for the North America region
- sufficient resources to target and achieve growth in the targeted market

How the program works
The selected cohort of 8 companies will start with participation:
- In a virtual program that covers the following topics (this list may be adjusted depending on the needs of companies):
- Week 1: Identify your ICP and targeted profiles/sector
- Week 2: How to pitch and demo your product
- Week 3: Create your outreach strategy
- Week 4: Develop use cases for AR
- Week 5: Best practice for successful ROI analysis
- Week 6: Roundtables on curated topics related to market entry
- In-person attendance at:
- AR/VR Meetup in San Francisco: June 17
- AWE USA 2024 Conference in Long Beach: June 18-20
- Curated business-to-business (B2B) with relevant stakeholders
